Parameter Possible Values / Remarks

Rate (kbps) The NMS checks the selectable values of both sides (Near-End and Far-End), according to

conditions specific for each modem (only the common values are displayed for selection fro

both modems). In case there are no common values at all, the NMS displays the value read

from agent, but does not allow setting it. i.e Clicking Set in such a case, prompts an error

message: "No existing valid Rate, due to IR mismatch Near-Far."
