Managing Near-End and Far-End Modems
In the Zoom view, you can perform management operations for near-end (local)
and far-end (remote) modems (and related interface cards). The procedures are
basically identical for each type. Some available parameters per specific modem
type differ. These differences are noted below where appropriate.
You begin performing operations on near-end or far-end modems, by first
selecting the near-end or the far-end modem in the Zoom view.
Managing near-end and far-end modems includes the following tasks:
• Viewing IMOD modem card information (near-end only)
• Viewing and modifying the modem mode (near-end only)
• Viewing modem information
