Question: How can one modify the MTU size under Solaris?
Answer: 1. Log in as root.
2. Type: ifconfig <interface name> mtu <new mtu value>
3. Type: ifconfig -a, to check that the modification took effect
To make the modification permanent, you will have to add a file into
/etc/rc3.d, which will configure the mtu size of the interface upon
startup as follows:
1. Type: vi /etc/rc3.d/S99mtu
2. Add the following to the file: ifconfig <Interface name> mtu
<new mtu value>.
3. Save the file and exit.
4. Type: chmod 755 /etc/rc3.d/S99mtu

Question: How to check the version of the RADview HPOV package?
Answer: You must do the following:
1. Start HP-OpenView.
2. From the menu-bar of HPOV select Help->About OpenView
3. In the message box select Applications.
4. In the window that is opened scroll down and select the
RADview-HPOV package.
5. In the upper right side you will see the version of this RADview
package.
