The Port and Card Levels 5-3

The Agent View window contains:

• A view of the front panel of the ATM device

• A title bar which displays the name of the agent and its communication status

in relation to the management station

• A menu bar containing Configuration, Fault, Diagnostics, Statistics (for

ACE-2002 only), Options and Help menus. (Menu options vary according to

the selected item)

• Network and User Ports, which you can select to switch to the Port Level.

5.3 The Port and Card Levels

The Port and Card Levels contain a graphic representation of the selected port’s

ATM and physical layers.

In the Port and Card Level, you can:

• View, add and update Network port configuration parameters for the logical

and physical layers

• View, add and update User port configuration parameters for the logical and

physical layers

• View and set performance monitoring

• View and update loopback tests

• View the traffic in a port.



To access the Port Level:

• Click on the port.

A light blue frame surrounds a selected port.

At the Port Level, you can do the following:

• View and set hardware and software parameters of a port

• Display and set time slot assignments

• View the current or last 24-hour statistical information

• View, start and stop diagnostic tests in the selected port

• View statistical information for external ports.

RADview-HP OpenView polls WAN agents in focus at a factory-set poll interval of

60 seconds, which is sufficient for most applications. If for whatever reason, you

wish to change this poll interval temporarily or permanently, perform one of the

following procedures.
