C-4 Installation and Operation
Setting the DIP Switches
Configure the IR-ETH/QN module by setting the DIP switches SW1 and SW2 in
accordance with Figure C-4, Table C-2 and Table C-3.
To make the changes effective, you must restart RIC-E1 by turning it off and on.
Table C-2. DIP SW1 Switch Settings

Note: Automatic MDI/MDIX crossover function is available only if the autonegotiation is enabled (see Table C-3).

Sections 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the SW1 DIP switch are factory-set and must not be
moved by the user.

• Section 6 of the SW2 DIP switch is factory-set and must not be moved by the
user.
• When autonegotiation is enabled, LAN speed and LAN mode are configured
automatically (sections 1 and 3 are disabled).
